概要 In this research, we devised and implemented a set of activities tailored to promote self-directed
learning in international students enrolled in a first-year Japanese language course at a university.
The primary objective of these activities was to assist students in defining their learning goals
explicitly. The intervention was structured as a three-phase process. In the initial phase, students
were required to record their Japanese language use in daily life via a chatbot. Following this, in
classroom sessions, they engaged in a detailed reflection by completing a structured sheet, focusing
on an event they chose. They then shared their experiences and reflections with their peers. The
integrated design model of these activities demonstrated potential effectiveness in aiding students
to articulate their learning objectives more precisely.
