Details	ゴルジ体にはタンパク質への糖鎖修飾を触媒する糖転移酵素が多数存在する。糖鎖はタンパク質の機能に必要不可欠な分子であり、糖転移酵素の異常は我々の生命をも脅かすが、新規遺伝子の同定や機能メカニズムの解明は遅々としている。本研究では、アミノ酸配列の物理化学的特徴から糖転移酵素を高精度で判別する方法論を開発した。本方法により、ヒトゲノムに含まれる新規の糖転移酵素遺伝子候補を発見することが可能となった。
